Charity Concert (Saturday, June 7, 2008 / 11:45 AM)
Today was such an exciting day.... fruitful!
As you know, I have been having sleeping problems. For the past 3-4 weeks, I've been sleeping late and waking up super late. As in like 2pm. But this morning, I woke up at 9 plus am! WOO! Well, i din wake up myself. My parents ngiao ngiao ngiao until I cannot tahan. Then we went for breakfast - super yummy, my all time favourite duck rice stall. WOO!
Then I drove back to Singapore to attend a dear friend's church wedding. She's a Mediacorp colleague. Usually she's behind the cameras. You know those video clips online about Superstar? And some trailers? Those were done by her. But today, she's the STAR! She was stunningly, naturally beautiful and full of charm. Well, usually she's already beautiful, but today, she was glowing. cos she's oozing with happiness.
Then I had lunch at Aston's and it was oh so yummy~ eating yummy food makes my day oh-so-fulfilling. hehe.
After which, I went down to a pub along neil rd to support those PSSers and CSSers in a Charity concert to help Sichuan victim. Jasmine Tye started the night with a rock number - Sweet Child of Mine (by Guns and Roses). She's a powerhouse la. woo~ One by one, everyone went on stage and did their thing! I was impressed man... I havent seen these people for so long and everyone improved! Like magdalene, I was impressed by her acoustic rendition of "Time after Time". Like Elaine, as usual, I love her voice and I like her 傻瓜. Jeremy's (Kwan) 1st line of "Right Here Waiting" already stunned me. It was soooo good. His voice was crisp and yet full of character. Aiyoh, soooo many. Hard to pin point or comment on everyone la.
And then something else happened. *blush*
There was this man. He told the organizers that if they could get me to sing a song, he would donate $500 in cash, on the spot. Woo~ So frantically, I searched my ipod touch for MMOs (music minus one) and found "Beautiful Love" which I thought suited the occasion also. Woo~ Thankfully, the system there could play from my Ipod.
I was totally unprepared la! (as you can see in the pic below, I was lok kok and not dressed up for stage) I felt that I cannot suck! Coz this guy is paying $500 to hear me sing! So I quickly went outside and practised a few times and then I went on stage le! Luckily everything went well la. I hope I din disappoint that kind man. Hee...
I'm truly flattered by this man's gesture. And it totally made my day! *blush*

Eventful.
And then there was more. Uh Hum! I went for a meeting. There's a secret project that's going on. hehe. Something exciting is gonna happen in.... August!
