I think I'm very smart in many ways (oh! i learnt self praising from my mom! hahaha)
Ok fine, I'll be humble. I THINK i'm quite smart in quite a few ways. BUT!!!! Kids... I'm really clueless when it comes to little people. What can you say to a 5 year-old? What can you do with a 4-year-old? I can only smile stupidly at them and hope that they can see that i'm friendly at least. bleah. lame attempt. And i like kids, well, the cute and polite ones. Just that it's like my handicap, I just simply become very helpless with kids.
Ok, just another random info for you to get to know me. hahah!
Busy Weekend (Thursday, March 5, 2009 / 12:58 AM)
This weekend is a busy weekend.
On Saturday, we are attending e娱乐大赏. Yeah, I love that we have 2 award show in Singapore now. It's like Singapore music is getting more attention! And we get to see live performances by Sun yan zi and 小猪 etc. So I'm looking forward to that.... I've already bought my clothes for the show!! hehe!!!! I love it. Shall take a picture for you all.
On Sunday, VERY early in the morning, Diya's FYP documentary -
downstairs is screening at 9am!!!! aaarrrghhh... tooooooo early!!!! but i think it's worth climbing out of bed for. please people, wake up and get inspired! What's more satisfying than early morning inspiration? (
whisper: sleeeeeep) BUT this is the only chance for you to see the other talent of DIYA!!! She's a freeaking director leh! Ok, please go to her

Ok, then, on Sunday evening, D and I will be performing at

我发现一件很有趣的事情。
衣服，有贵贱。算计衡量艺术价值，一条裙子可以是S$40，也可以是$2000。
食物，也分贵贱。一样根据其艺术价值，一餐可以S$5解决，也可以是$100。
可是，一片CD，不管品质好坏，一样是S$20！我们是赚到的咯！S$20在现在的社会能买到什么？
$20是多，或是少呢？
比起一辆汽车，房子，$20算什么？
$20可能连一件t-shirt都买不到。
$20可以买4份快餐套餐，
可以吃上5碗肉挫面，
可以买一片消耗n年时间、精力换来的唱片，
可以见识音乐人的理想，
可以宣誓对艺术、对音乐的坚持和respect。

如果我们对音乐持续“能省则省”的态度，很快的真的就听不到好音乐了。最近因为认识了很多音乐人，他们嘴边总是挂着“sigh, it's tough”。他们不是无聊说说博同情。他们真的被科技打败了。现在网上download一首歌，只需少过1分钟。真他妈的快。你们下载得越快，音乐人就越坚持。
我不是很传统、很刻板地在说“不要download！”
我想说的是，“Don't be a murderer! 不要亲手抹杀好音乐！”。
好听就把它买下来，你的$20是音乐人的强心针，让他们再坚持一下下。

Did you see 晚报 on Saturday??
Well, if you missed it, here it is....
I was doing a fashion feature on Celebrity's looks under SGD150. It was not easy to achieve a complete look under $150, i realize, especially if i include the shoes, bag and accessories. Oh by the way, we styled ourselves. I really liked the 3 looks that I featured. I think they represents me.
My style is VERY simple. I like clean look. I don't like to over accessorize. If I'm wearing earring, you won't see necklace on me. Or if I'm wearing a necklace, I won't wear earrings. And if my blouse is fancy, I will wear very basic bottoms.
That's why for me, to keep it budget, I buy a lot of basics - basic tank tops, basic jeans (in different shades), basic shirt, etc. The trick is just to find the best cut. That pair of jeans in the picture, is like my favourite pair of jeans. It has got a fabulous cut that makes my leg look skinny. It's not just any skinny jeans. It's tailored in such a way that it trims the shape of my leg but still make it very comfortable to wear. So I say, spend on a pair of good jeans, even if it's a little bit more pricey. Think about the zillion times that you are going to wear it, it's worth it every cent. It's extremely important.
By the way, I found a fantastic shop in Far East - Woodwood.
It is totally my style - chic feminine. This dress+vest look (featured in WB and pictured below) is fully from woodwood. You might have noticed, I like to wear loose clothings. But I will match it with something fitting to form a sillouette. I love the combination of the vest and the puffy dress underneath. It's feminine yet with a character.
I bought quite a few pieces from them. Like this one... it's so 阳光! I'm gonna find a day when I go to Sentosa to wear it. I would love to wear it with a hat! hahah...
... and this one.... Actually I brought this to the photoshoot as well. Because I thought this dress make a very good and affordable evening look. You know like there are so many wedding dinners to go to! (Especially when you are 20+) So I thought this dress would make a good evening look. It's very classy yet, there's something quite special about it - the sleeve! Ok lah, maybe you can't tell from this. Next time, when I wear it, I'll take another pic.
And I LOVE their accessories!!!! like this one...
It goes perfectly with simple tops (like my white top and jeans look in WB feature, I was wearing this necklace). The necklace below is in the shape of an envelope with an actual LETTER that says I love you!! haaha... I thought that's very quirky and cute.
I think it makes a great gift as well.
