Another piece of GREAT NEWS!!!!
You know, being in this industry, make up is so important. Because we NEeeeeeEEED Make up! And we constantly have to buy new make up product. I'm sooooo glad and sooooo grateful that M.A.C has started sponsoring me!!!!! Thing is, I've always favoured M.A.C and have always been using M.A.C. They have fantastic colors. I love their blushers, foundation, etc. Especially their mascara! It's the best I've tried on. Their marketing campaigns are always so innovative, glamourous and loud.
I also love that they have a great cause behind their products. There is a M.A.C Aids Fund, which is raised by the sale of Viva Glam products. I love that they are beyond beauty products. To me, M.A.C is more than a cosmetic brand, it's a lifestyle. Similarly, I do not want my voice to be just a voice. One day, I want to do good with my talent.

简单真的很好I think... I think too much.
Like this afternoon, when I passed through a ERP gantry, I got really quite angry. I really cannot agree with the ERP system. It's like a filter away the poor system. It's like saying "if you can't afford to pay $1, don't use this road!" WAT???? When I was driving along Orchard Rd, I noticed Scotts Rd was JAM PACKED while Orchard Rd was empty!!! Because everyone was avoiding the ERP? And I also noticed that the few cars on Orchard Rd were Merc or BMW or some luxury car. (I'm not driving a luxurious car, just very late!) Why is the government's solution to traffic congestion a discrimination against poor people!!!!! gggggrrrr..... Why not put a gantry that only allows cars under $100,000 to use this road? Cos anyway the expensive cars are faster right? They can take the further route! haha.
And why MUST orchard road be empty??? While Scotts Rd is so congested?? Oh! So that pedestrians can run across the 4 lane road from Lucky Plaza to Ngee Ann City! That's right!
urghh... I dunno why i trouble myself with such things!! But I do get quite gek over it lo!
That's why I say I think too much. A friend sent an sms to me before regarding some other matter... blah blah "was lousy because all these jokers (big bosses with only $ on their mind) want is Fast $ regardless the means. Typical world eh but i'm not in this race. haha. me live in my simple world."
WAH! Brilliant! HE totally 置身事外 lo! Although he is in the middle of things. I can see him, not bothering and enjoying life. He likes to cycle and would cycle all the way to Changi and around the island. A nice song can make him happy for a really long time.
I think all we can do is, do the best we can in our own areas. And more importantly, enjoy the simple things in life. Don't worry about things that are bigger than you. Like the stupid ERP!!! Not like I'm interested in governing the country right? Why was I worrying and getting angry over a stupid ERP gantry?
Of course, we should be socially responsible. We need to take stands, make decisions, fight for our rights or dreams, be involved in this society because we are in it. But we can only do what we can do.
We can enjoy the stars as they are laid out in the sky. We can also move our heads around to look at them at different angles. But we can't move the stars around to form the shape of doraemon in the sky right? =D
did I make any sense? hahahahahahhaa.......

Did you read today's news about TPB?
I'm really surprised by the papers reaction to this whole lip synch-ing saga. I don't even know why it's a saga! Did you really not expect? Oops. i better say no more about this.
What I really wanted to say is DYT's respond to the papers! It was very well said. I was very impressed. As an audience, I would be able to respect what DYT has said about pre-recording because the company wanted him to focus on acting and dancing parts. There are one thousand and one thing to focus on when we are on stage. Especially as lead actors. So I can understand if he decides a few days before the show to pre record his singing parts and probably lessen his burden just a little. I'm not saying that I can accept lip synch-ing. But I can accept his explanation. It's really not easy for non-singers to be thrown on stage and expect to do what we do you know? hahaha...
Wah, lately because of TPB i have a lot of material to blog about siah. haha.
Anyway, I would also like to say that for everyone who has read diya's comment on the papers.... please visit her blog for the full "story". She was interviewed when she was a sleepy head. I think it's easy to misinterpret what she "said" in the papers. So maybe you should read her blog yourself. (her blog link is by the sidebar)

Actually, it was overall a very good experience for me. I know, you must have read a lot of negative report on this production. I will not respond to that la. Every one has their right to review it to their honest opinion. And I'm ok with that.
But I really had a lot of fun! LOOK!!!

Sigh, I was really upset when Chen Tai Ming's mic was off at one point, the scene were the 3 kaypohs were disturbing Yue Niang. That part, Tai Ming's lines were funny lo!!!!
ARRRGHHH!! 如花！！！
Then I became one too! Oh so happy to see Pierre Png. He just pop by to say hi to everyone. Rem? He was my Big Brother in Defining Moment, and i am so charmed by him!
The last Tech Run before the actual show. Look at Ann!!! She's so chio even without make up!!!! Some say she was the prettiest in the Peranakan Ball. And I would have to AGREE!!!! woo! hot!
Miss Abracadebra is soooo sensitive to camera la!!! It was really super duper fun working with her!

The endless high pitched yam sengs. We also did some 4-part yamsengs with Olivia! hahaha... that was really funny.

I think he has a very bright future! I think.... he is the sort of person who would be easily misunderstood as "arrogant" or "attitude". Err... actually he has an attitude la. But I think that's really quite attractive for a male artiste leh. hur hur hur...
But he's definitely NOT arrogant la. He needed a little bit of warming up, but he's really fun to "play" with. Diya, Ann and him played all sorts of games lo! (I'm not a gamer, just watch and laugh). It included, scissors-paper-stone (advanced mode), hei-bai-pei, arm wrestling, staring game, etc.
HAHA! She's really light!

Thank you so much, people!!!! I really had to fight my tears back cos it was right before the show and i can't let my make up smudge! I was really very touched!
I also heard from someone that the choos had one of the loudest cheers during curtain call. I bet it's all of you right? All my dear friends who were there to support us. 真是受宠若惊！
And most of all, Thank you Miss Pilates for being such a great friend. Seriously, life wouldn't have been half as fun without you. You are a walking entertainment! hahaha... And you bring joy and laughter to everyone around you! I always wonder, how do you do it? How do you just jump into any setting and fill it with joy and positron! Oh and I think Poh Choo did a GREAT JOB!! Even if the papers don't seem to recognize it. =) You were SOOOO GREAT!! The part where you try to separate the couple, I always wanna 笑场 lo!!!
I would say, for me, it's not the result that matter. It's always the journey that meant more to me... 1 year later, the bad reviews will fade away, but the sweet memories of this production would always be with me.

Wow, it's all over the papers. Seriously, all papers. woo!
That's the impact that The Peranakan Ball had.
But yah, it's not great reviews. I'm really ok with us not getting great reviews. Some will like it, some will hate it. But what I can't stand is.... what i'm really quite pissed off with is.... i quote them "singer olivia ong was the only one who sang 'live' in her rendition of various songs including the main theme song." Excuse me!!!!!!! Were you even there?????? rendition of various songs???? She sang ONE song, the drama theme song. And the worst part... WE SANG LIVE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAARRGGHHH!!!!!!! I hate being accused of lip synch-ing. I'm a professional singer and that's a big insult! You claim that the lip synching is so obvious and then you didn't realise that we sang live!!!
ARGH!!!! I can't get over this. You put our faces (diya, jo tan and me) big big (half a page!) and then you said only Olivia sang live?????? It's a slap on our faces lo! All 3 of us are full time singers can! aarghh!!!!!!
Really quite pissed.

我刚发现大家都忙着长大。。。而我却。。。
Facebook is great siah. I've found a lot of secondary school classmates recently. And one of them, whom i just added a few days ago, messaged me today. And I replied...
"how are you? are you married also?? everyone is like married and having kids.... scary~"怎么知道去她的Info page一看，staring at me "
relationship status: Married" Aaaarrrgghhh....
天啊！我真的是处在“适婚恋龄”的正中央，好不好！最近左看右看，当年一起幼稚，疯癫的朋友，竟然抱着一个小BB。这个画面怎么看我都没办法了解，也无法适应。
尤其是你啊～我亲爱的薇薇小姐。那是你吗？你怀里那超口爱的BB真的是小薇薇？？？
大家都长大了。而我还在原点。在人生的马拉松，我什么时候被抛在那么远的后头了？
结婚，生子，对我来说，是一则又一则的故事，跟现实有一段距离。

Thank you Celene for asking the question about the other casts in The Peranakan Ball musical. Because in the theatre world, they are the star la!
(please ignore my wanna sleep face. sometimes i also dunno why i give such ugly expressions)
This is... Jo Tan! One of our sisters, our 大姐! She's amazing!
She's soooo 努力 and so funny! Sometimes she acts on TV too, although she mainly does theatre/ musicals. Her singing is damn power la, can-break-glasses kind.
I remember seeing her in 黄文鸿的大卫必佳! She was soooo good!
