I love to sing. As Yuneng pointed out, "要握住心中最初爱音乐，唱歌的本质". I will do just that. A little competition will not set me back! I have a greater plan ahead. I had a great day today and I looked back and thought, "yesterday was such a eventful day!"
Also, today Mr R said something really wise to me. He said "what's wrong with being No.2? the Underdog??" Oh man, it hit me and I woke up!!! I love to sing. And singing is never about competition!!! I mean, who dares to say Amei or Faye Wong is better??? It should not be a competition. It's just so fun to sing and connect with people! I'm sooo sooo blessed to be able to sing to people and be able to touch their hearts. And that's what's most important for me!!!! I will never forget that!!!
Although this time I lost an opportunity to sing to more people, but at least I got to touch some of your hearts yesterday at Kallang!
谢谢你们跟我一起投入在一首歌里面！在那一首歌里，我们是紧紧扣在一起，感受着一样的感受。

Yesterday, a very brilliant person said something really brilliant to me.
We were talking about writing songs. He suggested that I go and experience and explore something new everyday. Be it big or small. For example, change of ruote, or an activity that you have never tried before!
It's brilliant.
Yesterday, I tried for the 1st time, talking to Terence Cao. HAHA!
For the 1 year plus that I was with Mediacorp, I've never met Terence Cao. O Terence is my mum's idol. I mean, not that he's old ! But my mum is really hip. I just didn't want to fight with her you know. haha! Plus I was already a BIG BIG fan of Chew Chor Meng.
Yesterday, I finally met him. For the 1st time, I tried "having confidence in myself". Don't you some times feel that way? Like you are too "little" to talk to someone "big". Well, I do.
For the 1st time, I threw pride and self doubt away. My mum wanted a picture of him so I walked up to him and talked very casually to him. O man, he is SOOOO good looking! It's really hard to maintain eye contact with him siah. But I did! He didn't know that I was a singer. Because we never met at work before mah. And I didn't let that affect me. I just introduced myself properly. So we chatted for a while. Then I went on to tell him that my mum is a big fan. But she doesnt dare to come and take picture with you. I even joked and said "so she sent the better looking one to take a picture with you~". hahahaha!
Then he was so nice! After taking a picture with me, he was like "are you sure your mother doesnt want a picture? I can walk over to her you know?" He was so 大方 lo! So we walked over to where my mum was standing. She was SOOOO star struck la! She kept laughing! I'm so glad he offered! It made my mum really happy. Although she still complain that she didn't look good in her picture with him. haha! But seriously mum, it was a very good picture of you! Cos your smile was beautiful! hahaha!
So, lesson learnt on June 3rd, have confidence in yourself, but don't be proud. We are worthy.
New experience on June 3rd - look heart throbbing guy in his eyes. WOO! doki doki doki~

Actually, it was overall a very good experience for me. I know, you must have read a lot of negative report on this production. I will not respond to that la. Every one has their right to review it to their honest opinion. And I'm ok with that.
But I really had a lot of fun! LOOK!!!

Sigh, I was really upset when Chen Tai Ming's mic was off at one point, the scene were the 3 kaypohs were disturbing Yue Niang. That part, Tai Ming's lines were funny lo!!!!

Then I became one too! Oh so happy to see Pierre Png. He just pop by to say hi to everyone. Rem? He was my Big Brother in Defining Moment, and i am so charmed by him!
The last Tech Run before the actual show. Look at Ann!!! She's so chio even without make up!!!! Some say she was the prettiest in the Peranakan Ball. And I would have to AGREE!!!! woo! hot!
Miss Abracadebra is soooo sensitive to camera la!!! It was really super duper fun working with her!

I think he has a very bright future! I think.... he is the sort of person who would be easily misunderstood as "arrogant" or "attitude". Err... actually he has an attitude la. But I think that's really quite attractive for a male artiste leh. hur hur hur...
But he's definitely NOT arrogant la. He needed a little bit of warming up, but he's really fun to "play" with. Diya, Ann and him played all sorts of games lo! (I'm not a gamer, just watch and laugh). It included, scissors-paper-stone (advanced mode), hei-bai-pei, arm wrestling, staring game, etc.
HAHA! She's really light!

Thank you so much, people!!!! I really had to fight my tears back cos it was right before the show and i can't let my make up smudge! I was really very touched!
I also heard from someone that the choos had one of the loudest cheers during curtain call. I bet it's all of you right? All my dear friends who were there to support us. 真是受宠若惊！
And most of all, Thank you Miss Pilates for being such a great friend. Seriously, life wouldn't have been half as fun without you. You are a walking entertainment! hahaha... And you bring joy and laughter to everyone around you! I always wonder, how do you do it? How do you just jump into any setting and fill it with joy and positron! Oh and I think Poh Choo did a GREAT JOB!! Even if the papers don't seem to recognize it. =) You were SOOOO GREAT!! The part where you try to separate the couple, I always wanna 笑场 lo!!!
I would say, for me, it's not the result that matter. It's always the journey that meant more to me... 1 year later, the bad reviews will fade away, but the sweet memories of this production would always be with me.

I'm so glad!!!!! The Esplanade show was GOOD and BAD!!!! hahaha! I thought my voice was in a pretty good condition. And i think i did 新不了情 pretty well. *shy*
I thought I would stumble all over my words, coz I have never addressed a big audience alone before!! There's always a host! oh my, i was soooo scared. But I think I did not do as badly as I thought. Definitely not great. I get really nervous when I have to talk (by myself). I was soooo tempted to pull Diya on stage or Peifen to come and host! haha. But ok, i survived! huuhuu~ I totally enjoy singing more than hosting! phew~ like what Xing Ang said, I am more myself and more 放 when I'm singing.
BUT!
there was a disaster! I tried to squeeze in my own repertoire - 伤痕. That song meant something to me. That was the 1st time I joined a singing competition during my secondary school days, with a pop song. (err... i used to sing 民歌 when i joined those pri school singing competition) And I got 2nd. bleah. But the band didn't know how to play the song. So oh my, it was such a disaster. They played something, I did not recognise it, and i tried to catch it, and i couldnt. I already said I was gonna sing so I can't just "oh aiyah, let's sing another song". So 硬着头皮, I tried to sing along. But it just doesnt work. My mind was in a chaos "怎么办？怎么办？" I said "好吧！那不如我来清唱吧！" But the band played along! And I still don't know what they were playing. Sigh... I had to stop the song prematurely. And move on to the next song.
That was very embarrassing........
I'm still haunted by that performance. *shivers*

YEAH!!! I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel...
For one, I've decided to delete people who are negative in my life. Some people just wants to bring trouble, consciously or unconsciously. So, good bye. I'm going to treat that our paths never crossed and you can live your life happily and I will live mine happily.
Secondly, we've found an owner for Ponyo! Oh, we've decided to name the dog we found Ponyo. Like the anime. HAHA! Sorry for the lack of creativity. Stan who left a comment on my blog, expressing his interest in keeping the dog. He left me his blog address. After reading his blog, I had a strong feeling that he'll be a super nice and caring owner to Ponyo! So we met up just now. From the 1st impression, I can tell the 2 of them are going to get along really well!! When we met up he already has plans about where he will keep Ponyo, and he wanted to bring ponyo to swim in the sea, etc. I was really touched by his love for dogs. And I was so emo that Ponyo will be in such good hands. Okok, maybe i 言之过早, too early to judge, but i believe they will live happily together. =) haha. Oh! and he stays in a strategic location for us to VISIT! yeah!
Thirdly, I went shopping today!!!! Shopped for CNY clothes! hah! I bought quite a few items. Retail therapy ROX!!! I feel so much cheerier after shopping. Of course, I had great company.... Thanks pf for shopping with me the whole day!
Ohhh, I had a great day! I'll sleep with a big smile tonight!

Countdown to 2009!
This is the 2nd time we did a countdown in vivocity. And it's just lovely. I love the skyline. I love the little water garden on the rooftop just next to the stage. If I had a boyfriend, I would go to the rooftop there, 好浪漫...
Did you know, why it never rained for mediacorp outdoor shows???

I don't know how it works. But they are always there when there's an outdoor show. And they managed to keep the skies clear for us. =)
Diya had to get ready real early because she has another countdown show before the mdc one. So she was rushing like mad. She was so worried about a jam. Everyone tells her that it's very difficult for her to get back in time because there will surely be a jam. But hey, it was clear road every where man. haha!
These pretty things are what makes us pretty... haha.
Here's Diya with Keely and Ivy for 宇宙小姐. I thought D was really cool and seh~ like ella? haha. Then keely must have been selina and Ivy was hebe. correct? haha... but of cos, they are not SHE! they are themselves!

I had purposely worn my "long time no see" top. Since leaving mediacorp, I haven't seen my friends for so long! Not just the artiste, the makeup artist, the stylist, the wardrobe ladies, crew, etc! Including Jesseca. Some times, I agree to do mediacorp shows just so that I can catch up with my friends. =)
And that, is a great way to start the year.
err, yah but after that it hasn't been very pretty. BUT it's getting better!!!! I'll super happy girl soon! Thank you taggers, friends, family for all the concern! I'm sure it'll be better after CNY, after the mooooo comes in and give me a boost! haha.

Wah, it's really really hard to blog about my birthday, because so much happened and many can't be mention in public! haha! Ok, but I shall attempt nonetheless.
So it started on 30th afternoon when I received an invitation in my gmail. It says that I am supposed to get ready to be picked up tonight at about 7pm. At about 7pm, Diya blindfolded me and put me in MY car. I got really scared. It doesnt feel nice to be blindfolded. But I tried to follow the movement of the car. haha, trying to act like a detective. But it's really hard, coz she was driving clumsily on purpose, and taking the longer route.
Finally after about a 15 min car ride, the car stopped. And I continued to be blindfolded, led by D, I started walking... But stupid chen diya was so distracted taking a video all this while, she didn't warn me about steps!!! I almost fell~! 怕怕!
We walked quite far! Finally, I heard party poppers and other party noises and people. But it is not so easy. I had to guess who were in the room, by touching their hands! I mean, hello! I dunno my friends' hands! Why would I notice their hands?? The guessing game took a while siah. Until finally they gave in and let me touch faces too.
That's Amanda being "molested" by me. hahaha. I see JiaQi was taking advantage of the chance too. But I still couldn't guess de lo! I can only guess Diya right, coz only her skin is THAT good. We 挣扎 for another 15 mins before I finally guessed all 8 of them. phew~ Finally blindfold was off and I could see that I was in a beautiful hotel room, a suite. It was super nice and posh. And they decorated it with pink balloons, lots of love and stuff. It was beautiful! *touched*

After dinner. it was Wii~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can ALWAYS count on Wii to liven up a party. I mean, I was never very enthu about Wii but once you start, it's damn high. haha. Especially this game called "Raving Rabbit".
Look at how happy everyone is... =D We were screaming and laughing so loudly that erm, we got a friendly reminder. hahaha...
Then the sabo gang came. oooohhh, they are scary. But I can't share with you!!! Coz it's super off form. 想起来都不寒而栗。haha.. So I shall skip to the cake cutting part.
HAHA! I love the head gear!!! hahahha.a.. i know it's lame, but i love it!!
I wish that everyone i love would gain happiness and good health~ =)

Ok see, I would really like to post pictures of all the participants, BUT the sabo gang is soooo naughty that none of their pictures are suitable for posting!!! urgh... terrible terrible. FYI, sabo gang includes.... Ivy Tan, Sheryl Tham, Christina Lim Peifen, Chew Chong Keng, Lie WeiXiang, Poh Junli and Uncle David!!!! To protect their image, I shall not post their unglam pictures! But if you really wanna see, you could pay me~ *wink followed by evil laughter* hahaha...
After much sabo and stiffled laughter, we went for supper and finally the night ended. I slept with a huge smile.
The next day, I had dinner with my dear family. Every year, I make it a point to spend my actual birthday with my family, the people who brought me to this earth, who love me the most. =) We went to a fabulous Taiwanese restaurant. Oh, my siblings gave me zee most creative present. hahaha. She gave me vouchers from ALL the coffee joints, like Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Spinelli etc! It's brilliant, funny and APT! Coz I LOVE coffee. But it's her effort of going to every coffee joint to get those vouchers that touched me. My parents gave me a super nice necklace. Will take a pic and show you guys next time.
oh~ what a long post. i'm tired. so, I'm gonna end here. Good night~!
